The Department of Environment has proposed to create awareness through Display of Information Boards relating to coastal Zone eco-systems and natural  eco sensitive areas in the coastal zone  as follows:

 

 

 To implement the above scheme, in 13 coastal districts of Tamil Nadu the Director of Environment invites Expression of Interest from the Non Governmental Organizations who are interested in creating awareness  through display of information boards to be made in 12ft x 6ft size., (2 round pipes of 3”,  2 square pipes of one ft, 2 nos of 18 kg sheet of 3x6x3 size, steel plate angles 2.5 x2.5m with covered  2” weld mesh containing approximately 170 kgs., including erection and masonry works).   Erection of 200 Nos. information boards in 13 in coastal District and to carry out the above activities in the tourism zones and ecologically important areas in 13 coastal Districts of Tamilnadu. The total financial assistance covering all items of expenditure  from the preparation of boards, transport, erection etc shall be Rs.100 lakhs.

 

 

The interested reputed and registered Non Governmental organizations/ Institutions shall submit their Expression of Interest to carry out the above activities  indicating the location of erection number of boards at each location (atleast 15 boards in each of the 13 coastal revenue district) along with a short note about their organizations, activities carried out by them to the Director of Environment on or before  15/12/2018.The slogans/messages will be supplied by the Department. The applicants may choose to apply for carrying out the work in all the 13 Coastal Districts or one or more districts as per their capabilities.

 

The programme should be completed within one month from the receipt of funds.
