Felicitation address by Prof. S.P. Thyagarajan

Professor S.P. Thyagarajan in his felicitation address congratulated the organizing committee and secretary Dr. S. Dawood Sharief in taking efforts to consolidate 12 National and International Scientist to assemble at one place to disseminate knowledge on Ecotechnology to student, researchers and scientist. Further he said that The New College has created a history by conducting workshops, national seminars on Eco-technology in their campus which is worth mentioning because, we are in the thresh hold of the "Environment Millennium".

He emphasized that the knowledge gained should not be procured but it should also be practiced and put to use so that nature's loss should be regained by this kind of seminars/Conference and workshops. He congratulates the Management of New College for their encouragement and also praised the National and International Scientist for the whole hearted support, inculcating knowledge, because knowledge is power. Hon'ble Minister Valedictory Address Thiru. K. Venkatapathy,
Minister for law, New Delhi

The Hon'ble Minister Thiru. K. Venkatapathy said in his speech that he was happy to be associated with International seminar on Ecotechnology for sustainable Development, which is need of the hour. He outlined his speech saying that sustainable development should play a role as a facilitator and not a destructor. He highlighted that if you disturb nature, nature will disturb you. Because of urbanization and over population due to modern technologies many natural products have become scarce commodity milk is cheaper than water. He remarked that scientific Advancement is beneficial in a way and it may also be detrimental to the universe if there after effects are not carefully dealt with, here comes Eco-technology for solving such problems.

Ecotechnology is eco-friendly, viable and immense potential and applications in overcoming environmental degradation and depredation. It is eco-friendly, economically and socially sustainable and helps to maintain nature's overall ecological balance.

He stressed about ozone layer, acid rain, which is, now recognized as International problem, causing soil loss and its effect on ecosystem is being affected. Finally he concluded by saying avoid destruction - work towards construction of Ecology and strive for its prosperity. Let there be oneness of opinion. Let us invite all in this endeavor and protect the universe and come out with flying colours. Let us develop love and affection between one another and serve the mankind selflessly.
