Tamil Nadu EIACP PC HUB, Department of Environment and Climate Change has conducted the awareness programme on “International Day for The Preservation Of Ozone Layer” on 13.09.2024 at the Chennai Corporation ITI College, Mylapore. The aim of this program is to emphasize the importance of the ozone layer and the harmful impact of ozone-depleting substances (ODS) such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), etc. and discussed practical steps that ITI students can take to address ozone layer depletion in their future industrial careers. By integrating green practices into their work, students can contribute to the protection of the ozone layer and support broader environmental sustainability efforts. Moreover, Ozone friendly pledge was taken. Around 100 participants along with 10 teaching staff actively participated in the event.
