Tamil Nadu EIACP PC HUB has participated in the Workshop on “Roadmap to Climate Resilient Villages in Tamil Nadu” on 19.03.2025 at Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore – 641003. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Swati Jain, Scientist-D of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. In this context, Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, the Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University delivered an enlightening and emphasized the importance of adopting eco-friendly farming techniques that prioritize the long-term health of the environment, soil and water resources. Dr. Geethalakshmi outlined various sustainable practices currently being implemented across the state such as organic farming, crop rotation, agroforestry and water-efficient irrigation systems. She discussed how these methods not only increase agricultural productivity but also minimize the adverse environmental impacts often associated with traditional farming practices, such as soil degradation, water scarcity and the overuse of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
