Drawing competition under Mission LiFE

Tamil Nadu State EIACP PC HUB, Department of Environment and Climate Change has conducted a Drawing Competition under the Mission LiFE initiative on 30.06.2025 at Government Model Higher Secondary School, Nandanam, Chennai – 600035.  The programme commenced with an insightful session by Dr. K. Muthukumar, Programme Officer, TN EIACP PC HUB, who delivered a talk on the objectives of Mission LiFE – "Lifestyle for Environment." His presentation emphasized the importance of incorporating Mission LiFE themes into everyday life, offering practical guidance on how individuals can adopt environmentally responsible habits to support long-term sustainability goals. As part of the programme, students showcased their talents and environmental awareness through various performances. They sang songs on environmental conservation and gave brief speeches highlighting the harmful impacts of single-use plastics and the need to switch to sustainable alternatives. The event culminated in a drawing competition, where students artistically expressed their ideas on environmental protection and sustainable living. The session concluded with feedback from the participating students, followed by the distribution of EIACP newsletters and Mission LiFE handouts to all attendees to reinforce the themes discussed and encourage continued awareness and action.
