Grid Based Decision Support System(GRIDSS)
Ministry of Environment and Forest & Climate Change, Government of India has been introduced new scheme for Grid Based Decision Support System (GRIDSS). District level environmental survey of the country through a Grid Based approach using grids 10 x 10 km or a suitable measurement, depending on the requirement for effective survey of various environmental parameters. ENVIS secretariat has allotted Thiruvallur, Chennai, Namakkal, Karur & Salem, districts for Grid Based Decision Support System (GRIDSS). Tiruvallur, Chennai, Namakkal, Karur and Salem districts were completed GRID based maps in different sector wise.
1. Thiruvallur (2018-2019)
2. Chennai (2019-2020)
3. Namakkal (2020-2021)
4. Karur (2021-2022)
5. Salem (2022-2023)
