Tamil Nadu EIACP PC HUB, Department of Environment and Climate Change has conducted World Wetlands Day 2025 awareness programme and Wetland Walk on 01.02.2025 at Pallikaranai,Chennai - 600100.The event was inaugurated by the Forest Range Officer, Pallikaranai Marshland, Forest Department and Dr.K.Muthukumar, Programme Officer, EIACP PC HuB, Department of Environment and Climate Change have explained about the importance of wetlands and also discussing the plants, animalsand birds that live in the wetlandand why the wetlands are important to them. Native tree seed balls were distributed to students.More than 120 students and professorsfrom PRINCE Shri Balaji Arts and Science College, Ponmar, Chennai- 127 and actively participated in the Wetlands Walk.
