Government targets 1 million hydrogen
cars by 2020
On the
occasion of World Environment day, the
Government has committed itself to one green
technology that may define the future it has
set 2020 as the target year to have 1
million carbon–free hydrogen vehicles on
the road by 2020.

Jatropha will lead
the next environmental revolution
The extracted
bio-diesel produced from Jatropha can be
mixed with normal diesel bringing about oil
conservation and better combustibility which
results in lower emission levels.
Bio-diesels have sustainable Cetane
levels and thus they can be used up to 30
percent under normal operating conditions
without evident engine damage.

Bio diesel holds promise
A one hectare jatropha plantation with 4,000
plants in rain fed conditions can yield
about 4,000 to 5,000 kg of seeds. If we
blend the entire petrodiesel in India with
bio diesel at 50 ml / litre the county
will save Rs. 4 thousand crore.

India 'has to tap renewable energy
